Pedis and Winter Tea

I wouldn't normally start my blog with feet, but what a great way to start the day...peach champagne and pedicures! Thanks Kimmy for the birthday treat!

The only thing that could top bubbly and cute toes was tea partay! Jackie hosted a winter tea. Her dining room is the perfect setting with tons of windows, we could see the snow, but feel the sun.

The lovely place settings with chocolate jewels.

And the food! Where to begin? Soup? Sandwich? Dessert?
We first enjoyed a vegetable lentil soup - so good!

The cucumber sandwiches were divine, but when a fresh tomato was added, something sublime! I could have eaten the entire platter. Jackie made a scrumptious spread with sour cream, cream cheese, Italian seasoning and dill - so good!
We enjoyed a garlic and herb cheese ball with crackers (thanks mom for one of many cheese balls :)

Mmm chocolate chocolate chip Bundt cake
The double chocolate was intentional
served with raspberry sorbet = heaven!

Isn't this a fun Bundt pan? She cooked the cake right in the platter. If you flip the pedestal over it's a chip and dip server. Also, this is baby-to-be's cameo.

Blueberry cream tarts and Madeline's served with a
white chocolate toffee dessert tea.

Peek-a-boo - do you see me? Cameron made a brief appearance
as the girls were chatting and nibbling.

Thanks for the birthday wishes! Birthdays would not be fun without you ladies :)

Norah's First Big Girl Tea

I met Andrea and her daughter, Norah, at the Avalon in White Bear Lake for tea. While Norah did attend one of our tea parties as an infant, this was her first tea now that she is a big girl - four years old. Up first on the agenda: a lady simply must wear a hat to tea, but which one?

Decisions, decisions.
This one makes me look a little like I might have a toothache, ha ha!
So many pretty hats...

Norah had her very own little teapot.

Time for tea! Aren't I pretty with my pink hat?

We enjoyed finger sandwiches, a scone and cookies.
As I was taking this picture, Norah said:
"She took a picture of my food." and giggled :)

Mother and daughter enjoying tea - pinkies up for the elegant ladies.
What a fun lunch!
