Dragonfly Garden Tea

Today we enjoyed the weather and a lovely tea hosted by Emma in her English garden. Her dragonfly theme was carried out in the dishes, napkins, table runner and more! She even had cute dragonflys hanging from the canopy and the trees (compliments of Kendall's tree climbing skills). Her tablescape was well thought out and quite lovely as the picture below illustrates. Kendall even made us cute placecards with dragonflys. The elephant teapot contained chai tea and was a precursor to our Indian-themed meal - the basmati rice and curry was oh so yummy.

The Enchanted Cottage

On Friday, my mom and I visited The Enchanted Cottage Tea Room in Walker, MN. It's in an old house a couple of blocks behind the main street. We had lunch at the Chase, but stopped in for tea and scones. Their cream scones had fresh strawberries and blueberries baked in and were served with homemade strawberry jam and devonshire cream. They were so good that we bought the cookbook with the recipe in it and we both needed a scone to go for breakfast the next day - so good! Thanks mom for the treats and joining me for tea!
