Lady Elegant's

Emma, Jackie, Kim and I met at Lady Elegant's in St. Paul today for tea. We ordered the Tea Sampler, which include cucumber sandwiches, scones and a variety of desserts. The cucumber sandwiches were addictively good - perhaps the best some of us had ever had! The spread included fresh dill, sour cream and cream cheese - very tangy. I wouldn’t leave me alone with a tray of those. We each had our own teapot and could select our own flavor of tea. I enjoyed the Buckingham Palace Garden Party Tea (had to buy a tin to bring home). We are big tea drinkers and having our own pot was wonderful. The service was very good and I'm sure we'll go to Lady Elegant's again. Thanks for organizing Jackie!

Mad Hatter Tea Partay

The second annual Mad Hatter Tea Partay occurred on Sunday.

I am very close to finding all of the Alice in Wonderland dishes. It was fun to have enough for the party. Last year we just had one teapot.

Making the shortbread cookie cards and homemade sugar cubes proved to be more challenging than I expected. However, I believe all of the food turned out well and fun was had by all..until next year!
